Press Release

In January 2026, PAC Art opens its expanded 6,276-square-foot venue at 1919 Whitney Street in the heart of Montrose. The new space—featuring dedicated studios, an exhibition space, and a library—marks a pivotal evolution from PAC Art’s beginnings as an industrial warehouse–based artist-in-residence incubator on the outskirts of the city center. What started as an experimental hub has grown into a permanent cultural anchor, now hosting an international artist-in-residence program and a range of offsite projects, preserving the spirit of artistic innovation. Positioned at the nexus of Houston’s museum district, the Whitney Street venue cultivates an ethos of care and critical dialogue, bringing together local and international artists in collaborative exchange.
