How to Apply

There are two open calls per year, during the spring and fall for the consecutive terms, which are announced on social media and webpage. Open call times will last for 30 days and results will be announced from two to three weeks after submission deadline.
 
Applications are welcome from all artists, irrespective of background, age, nationality or career, as long as they reside at the Houston Metropolitan Area. Collectives all welcome to apply with as many as 3 artists.
 
Applications should be sent in one PDF file (of under 25MB in size) with the following:
 
1) A 500-word proposal for a production project.
2) Up to 10 images that demonstrates the artistic practice
3) CV (2 pages maximum)
 
The decision is based on their career as well as the quality of the proposed project, which is to be completed during the 3-months’ time at P.A.C. 
 
Projects must be completed during the residencies time, which lasts up to three months. Residencies and process are free of charge.
 
A stipend is provided to assist with travel and art materials. In exchange, artists will donate an artwork to the Creixell Art Collection.
 
When is the residency?:

Spring January – March March – May
Summer May – July
Fall July – September September – November

Residents are selected by an international committee via open call. The jury committee will draft their decision based on the attribute of the work, the artists career and the  quality of the production project. The Jury members are:
