Teresa Serrano

Teresa Serrano has developed a multidisciplinary artistic practice that spans a range of media and subject matter, unified by a sustained interrogation of social constructs and their influence on lived experience. Grounded in her own female subjectivity, she examines structures of power, gender, desire, violence, as well as the relationship between body and nature.

At the same time, her work articulates an ongoing investigation into the dynamics of language across its various forms: from physical gesture and media discourse to the verbal word materialized in three-dimensional space. By integrating poetic metaphor, organic forms, and an expansive material vocabulary, Serrano addresses urgent sociopolitical issues while revealing the forces that shape our understanding of life and death.
